We present the world‘s first real-time holographic video processor with UHD resolution using a single-chip FPGA. It generates 16 computer-generated color holograms in a second on a holographic display with 3840 x 2160 resolution. Due to the high resolution and small pixel pitch, the holograms show very high level of quality and wide viewing angle. The quality of the FPGA processor generated holograms is the same as the quality of the holograms generated by an ideal software where human eye is most sensitive. The single-chip holographic video processor provides holograms of unprecedented quality with low cost, small foot print and high energy efficiency. These characteristics will help the wide spread of holographic applications including mobile and wearable applications.
