Abstract
Electrical energy storage (EES) device operation at elevated temperatures from 25 to 100 oC is in demand as uses in consumer goods, oil and mining, and automotive expand to meet new market opportunities. Our selection of ionic liquids to address this recognized problem in electrolyte deficiencies is supported by a number of reports describing imidazolium and phosphonium based ionic liquids, and their corresponding low vapor pressure and non-flammability.
