Hybrid Piezoelectric Structure for Wearable Nanogenerator

Abstract
We present a hybrid fiber nanogenerator comprised of ZnO nanowire array, PVDF polymer and two electrodes. Depending on bending or spreading actions of the human arm with an angle of ~ 90 degrees, the hybrid fiber reaches electrical outputs of ~0.1 V and ~10 nAcm-2. The unique structure of our hybrid fiber may inspire a future research in wearable energy harvesting technology.
