Effect of Ni-doping on the initial electrochemical performance of Vanadium oxide nanotubes for Na ion batteries

Abstract
In this communications, successful Na intercalation was demonstrated in hydrothermally synthesized VOx nanotubes and Ni-doped VOx nanotubes. The structural evolution during Na intercalation process was investigated by XRD analysis. Additionally, increased initial capacity was observed from the Ni-doped VOx NTs, synthesized by cationic exchange reaction. XPS analysis confirmed that the higher initial capacity is attributed to the increased valence states of Vanadium after Ni exchange process. .
