The 1st International Li-Air Battery Symposium 2012」Hold
SAIT (Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology), in association with KECS (The Korean Electrochemical Society), is going to hold a joint seminar of「The 1st International Li-Air Battery Symposium 2012」for an active exchange of technology of 'Li-Air Battery', which is a future technology to overcome the limits of lithium ion battery for electric vehicle, at Samsung Electronics’ Seocho building, on September 21.
Although Li-Air Battery technology has a big impact, thanks to its high energy density implementation which is, in theory, 5 times more than current secondary battery, the technology is still in its initial stage of R&D, as it has to be completely understood within the academic world, regarding its reaction Mechanism.
On this ground, associated researchers decided not only to meet and discuss technical fundamentals, but to share the result, and expand the base for researches through regular Annual International Symposium.
This time, main research organizations including Mie University and Toyota, which is leading this research field, would participate and and they are going to discuss and search for the trend toward growth.
